We are looking for a Branch Manager for our Cogo Capital division. As a branch manager for our lending company, your responsibilities are multifaceted, requiring a blend of leadership, financial acumen, customer service, and operational efficiency. Here are some key responsibilities:
Leadership and Staff Management
- Supervise and Lead Staff: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of loan officers, loan processors, loan analyst, and other staff members.
- Recruitment and Training: Hire new staff members and ensure ongoing training and development to keep the team updated on policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Performance Management: Set performance targets, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement improvement plans for underperforming staff. Managing the expectations of the KPI’s that have been set.
Customer Service
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide suitable lending solutions.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Financial Management
- Financial Analysis: Oversee the evaluation and approval of loan applications, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage the branch’s lending risk to minimize defaults and maximize profitability.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage the branch’s budget, ensuring cost control and efficient allocation of resources.
Operations and Compliance
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the branch, including workflow management and resource allocation.
- Compliance: Ensure the branch complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. This includes staying updated on changes in lending laws and practices.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all records and processes meet regulatory standards.
Business Development
- Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. This includes promotional activities, community engagement, and networking.
- Product Development: Identify market needs and work with senior management to develop new loan products and services.
Reporting and Analysis
- Performance Reporting: Monitor and report on the branch’s performance metrics, including loan volume, approval rates, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats to the branch’s business.
Strategic Planning
- Goal Setting: Set short-term and long-term goals for the branch in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Execution of Strategic Initiatives: Implement strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and achieve the branch’s objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in banking, lending, or financial services, with 2 years in a managerial role.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan products, credit underwriting, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing teams, meeting sales targets, and driving business growth.
Skills & Competencies
- Financial & Business Acumen: Ability to analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and manage P&L.
- Sales & Marketing: Experience in business development, loan origination, and customer acquisition.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of lending laws, KYC/AML regulations, and risk management practices.
