Job Summary:
We are looking for a Cloud Security Network Engineer to design, secure, and maintain cloud-based network infrastructure in public, private, and hybrid environments. You will apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure reliability, streamline operations through automation, and mitigate security risks. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to deliver scalable, high-performing applications from initial deployment to ongoing support and incident resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain robust security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design, build, and operate scalable network architectures in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Leverage automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to provision and manage networks.
- Define and develop Cloud strategy for the enterprise, focusing on AWS, aligned with IT requirements
- Monitor systems using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, DT Cloud) to proactively detect issues and respond rapidly to incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications are secure at each stage of development and production-ready.
- Apply SRE practices to optimize reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall system performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations, offering expert support for network and security incidents.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in authentication and authorization controls including IP listing, Access governance and controls, etc.
- Proven expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Solid understanding of security principles, best practices, and tools for threat detection and prevention.
- Experience in automating tasks and deployments using scripting languages (Python, Go) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability solutions for effective troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
