Job Description
The Client Underwriting Manager will lead the Affinity Solutions Client Underwriting team in providing financial quotes for all lines of business within Securian.
This includes Credit Protection, Direct Response, Specialty P/C, and Securian Specialty Lines for affinity groups, including financial institutions, associations, and distributors.
The position requires an understanding of underwriting principles, strong analytical skills, the ability to manage a team of underwriters, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong risk assessment and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and client/stakeholder service delivery skills
- Demonstrated case profitability management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams to ensure underwriting decisions align with Securian's risk tolerance and ROE/margin targets
