Job Summary: Securiport LLC is a US company based in Reston, VA, that specializes in the design and implementation of passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, and intelligent information reporting and management systems based on advanced technological solutions. Securiport provides a complete immigration processing solution and analytics to maintain border security. Services include technical analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of Securiport’s software solutions, training, and technical support to the field operations.
The Network Admin / Cloud Architect / Jr. Cyber Security Specialist will be based at one of Securiport's Field Operation's and is responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, testing, and supporting the Network for Securiport’s analytics-related infrastructure. You will conduct the deployment for new implementations, conduct network audits for existing operations and provide standard operating procedures to be followed by field network administrators. Handles complex issues and problems and receives assistance for the most complex issues from higher-level staff.
Essential Functions
- Deployment and maintenance of the Global Security Operations Center infrastructure.
- Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required
- Interface with local customers and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
- Perform periodic security related maintenance, firmware updates and system configuration changes.
- Elaborate the risk management strategy.
- Provide reporting to the Global director operation.
- Responding to Cybersecurity Incidents.
- Propose process improvements.
- Auditing IT infrastructure and give recommendations to ensure compliance
- Perform network traffic analysis for incident response.
- Monitor traffic and provide regular reports about threats and suspicious activities.
- Prepare Incident response plans based of the types of incidents.
- Identify Vulnerabilities in Operations (HQ and field) and provide mitigation solutions.
- Stay ahead of cyber threats.
- Coordinate penetration testing with Cyber security consultants for HQ and field operations environments.
- Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, Program Managers and customers as required
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational test
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Working knowledge of top manufacturers of network devices and switching and virtualization technologies.
- Hands on network administration experience.
- Cybersecurity related experience.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration.
- Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, and Joint DOD IIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to C&A
- Cloud
- Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL1 & PL2 systems; experience with PL3 & PL4 cross domain solutions is a plus
- Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and other guiding policy documents.
- Must be able to prepare standard operating procedures for operations to follow.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
- Requires travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)
- Excellent writing, communications, presentation, and design skills
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
- 5 years’ experience in related field required
- In lieu of degree, a total number of 8 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
- Experience with commercial cloud architectures (Azure, Amazon AWS)
- Experience with virtualization technology and with Infrakit, Vagrant, Puppet, or similar technologies
- Experience administering applications used by development teams, such as Rational Team Concert, JIRA, Confluence, Team Foundation Server, Slack, GitHub, and others
- Cybersecurity related experience
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
