Purpose of Position
As a Data Engineer, your role is pivotal in supporting various teams across the company in data gathering, storage, and analysis, contributing to the enhancement of our data infrastructure and practices.
The role is fundamental to our organization's data ecosystem, serving as the architect and builder of data pipelines and infrastructure. With a focus on efficiency and reliability, this role ensures seamless data flow from collection to storage to analysis, empowering teams across the company to derive actionable insights. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions, optimizing data processes, and maintaining data integrity. You will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance. Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related / equivalent field or experience
- Python (Standard Library, Pandas, Numpy, Pydantic)
- Experience in Google Cloud or equivalent cloud service provider.
- Emphasis on design and deployment of serverless data solutions. GCP certifications or proven cloud experience essential
- Understanding of core enterprise data concepts and technologies : warehouses, ETL technologies, OLTP data stores, multiple RDBMSs. Emphasis on experience in BigQuery or equivalent
- Big data gathering, processing, monitoring and maintenance
- Strong planning and organizational skills; strong time and resource management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
