What are the responsibilities and job description for the GSOC Operations manager position at Securitas Security Services?
JOB SUMMARY:
As a GSOC Ops Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day operations in the GSOC. You are the leader on shift for the Operations Analysts and the Senior Operations Analysts. As such it is the Ops Manager responsibility to train and mentor the team. As an Ops Manager you must maintain a good repour with the client and the local branch office.
Responsible for filing, maintaining, and securing company documents and maintaining a neat, organized, and clean office area.
- Answer Manager phone as needed.
- Report and log maintenance issues.
- Act as the on-call manager for weekend shifts when your stint arrives (Every third week).
- Responsible for securing all inventory-related items such as GMP boxes.
- Assist in the on-boarding process for all new hires and ensure they receive their uniforms and GSOC specific credentials.
- Track all late arrivals, call-offs, and other vacation time between all staff members and keep other GSOC management appraised.
- Update IA/OFSS and other headcount information to ensure correct data to be sent for Critical Incident Notifications through the GSOC portal.
- Responsible for sending a biweekly report to the GSOC AMER Manager going over training, events, and notable incidents.
- Fill any gaps due to staffing issues and cover down on specific regions as needed.
- Assist in the development and training of all analysts on-shift and provide independent and collective correction as needed.
- Ensure the night shift team operates at an efficient level to include alarm response and access control monitoring, along with providing customer service to all Oracle stakeholders.
- Conduct counseling and performance evaluations with each team member to identify potential concerns and provide a structured development plan.
- Assist with interviews when needed.
- Perform quarterly reports to include GSOC AMER call tallies, alarm count, CIN/OBS numbers and send to all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining time sheets (gathering and checking for errors).
- Sending time sheets to the local office.
- Concur with other GSOC management on areas of improvement and identify a growth plan.
- Assist other Oracle Global Physical Security teams with assigned tasks and ensure continued transparency with all stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Maintain friendly and professional relationship with owners, managers, coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Maintain valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current vehicle insurance, and current vehicle registration.
- Maintain and comply with regular and predictable attendance and punctuality standards.
- Perform tasks outlined in SOP such as but not limited to (call escalations, emergency procedures, and more.)
- Send out and proofread Critical incident notifications and Oracle broadcast messages.
- Responsible for reporting any incidents to Management (damage to buildings, potential break-ins, injuries, etc.) and completing all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide daily, monthly, annual, and as requested reports to company officers and complete all paperwork and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for learning and complying with ALL company policies, guidelines, policies, and instructions in the Standard Operating Procedures manual (SOP) and The Security Officers Handbook.
- Take calls as needed.
- Train and advise the Operators and Senior Operators
- Assist in client investigations as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: |
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified (preferred)
- Military or law enforcement (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: |
- Physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, and driving.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
