JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Title: Temp Security Officer (Harvard Commencement 2025)
Location: Harvard University (Cambridge, MA)
Rate: $24.61/hour
Mandatory Shifts:
- May 28th - 12pm-5pm (5 hours)
- May 29th - 5:30am-2pm (8.5 hours)
- Other days and shifts may be assigned throughout the month of May as needed
GENERAL JOB DUTIES
- Provide professional customer service to all attendees of ceremony
- Access control (entrance and exit) to commencement ceremony
- Conduct bag checks and use of metal detectors
- Conduct foot patrols of Harvard property to include interior / exterior of grounds.
- Respond to emergency situations
- Assignment may require prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in any weather circumstances (rain, sun, cold, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.)
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable means of communication and transportation
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to effectively speak, read and write English
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Willingness to participate in the company’s stringent pre-employment screening process
