Position: Security Officer (Outdoor & Guard Booth)
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (CP2)
• Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Loading Dock)
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Interior)
  (Part-time position with opportunities for overtime)

We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer for a part-time role in Basking Ridge, NJ. This position requires working both inside and outside the guard booth, ensuring the security of the site while monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and securing the loading dock and facility grounds. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing both stationary and mobile duties.

✅ Monitor and control access to the site from the guard booth
✅ Conduct exterior and perimeter patrols, ensuring site safety
✅ Enforce site rules and report any security incidents or hazards
✅ Assist visitors, employees, and vendors as needed
✅ Respond promptly to alarms or security concerns
✅ Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
✅ Comfortable working outdoors and moving in and out of the guard booth throughout the shift

✔️ Valid SORA certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔️ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
✔️ Previous security experience preferred but not required
✔️ Strong observational and problem-solving skills
✔️ Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations
✔️ Reliable transportation to and from the site
✔️ Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform patrol duties
