Securitas is looking for a weekend 2nd shift security officer.
Part-Time Security Officer – Guard Booth Position (Basking Ridge, NJ)
Position: Security Officer (Outdoor & Guard Booth)
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday
2:00pm to 10:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Monitor and control access to the site from the guard booth
✅ Conduct exterior and perimeter patrols, ensuring site safety
✅ Enforce site rules and report any security incidents or hazards
✅ Assist visitors, employees, and vendors as needed
✅ Respond promptly to alarms or security concerns
✅ Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
✅ Comfortable working outdoors and moving in and out of the guard booth throughout the shift
Qualifications:
✔️ Valid SORA certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔️ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
✔️ Previous security experience preferred but not required
✔️ Strong observational and problem-solving skills
✔️ Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations
✔️ Reliable transportation to and from the site
✔️ Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform patrol duties
