Security Safety Officer
- Work with Shift Supervisors on assigned projects and monthly deliverables to Operations Manager
- Coordinate emergency/incident response in the absence of the Operations Manager
- Ensure all current policies and procedures for both the client and Securitas are always upheld. Work
- with all officers on the monthly training expectations of both the Adobe client and the Securitas
Branch office. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Two on-line LMS courses each month per KPI expectations
- Two monthly drills per officer
- Two training topics per month per officer to be presented at the All-Hands meeting
- When needed, provide support for Shift Supervisors for site operations (Patrols, Breaking Officers, Special Event Support, and Post Inspections)
- Respond to emergency situations including fire, medical, emergency evacuations etc.
- Develop drills for officers for emergency response expectations
- Proctor monthly medical practice session drills for each officer
- Provide regular First Aid/CPR/AED training on site to employees/contingent workers during the week with one class a month on Saturday for employees' family members.
- Ensure all Security Officers maintain current First Aid/CPR/AED, and Blood-borne Pathogens (BBP) certifications; and all officers receive continuous medical education
- Creation and review of medical incident reports
- Conduct Safety Inspections
- Perform monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections
- Work with Adobe Security Management and Facilities staff on all projects and or events relating to life safety
- Assist in development and delivery of Safety Training
- Conduct monthly AED Inspections
- Administrative tasks in support of the Adobe Safety Program to include the following:
- Ergonomics Coordination:
- Send link for Self-Assessment form to all employees requesting ergonomic assistance
- Track and record all progress of ergonomic requests, report numbers quarterly to the Site Security Manager.
- If applicable, request a virtual evaluation for an employee from ErgolQ Live
- Evaluate Adobe employee ergonomic health while at their work stations and offer recommendations
- Forward evaluation report to employees, and outline for the ordering process working with ERC when needed.
- Ergonomics Coordination:
- Administration of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
- Schedule ERT Trainings
- Track membership and training in EH&S SharePoint
- Recruit new ERT members
- Teach ERT classes where appropriate
- Oversee ERT efforts during emergency response
- Distribute Supplies to ERT members
- Maintaining a working inventory of first aid and emergency supplies
- Work with Safety Max to maintain first aid cabinets
- Keep emergency supply cabinets and additional food/water rations stocked
- Monitor expirations dates of all perishable items
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Possess a valid State Private Security Officer License
- Must have valid State Driver’s License with no DUI’s or suspensions within the last three years
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of Security Officer experience (preferred)
- Excellent motivational, leadership, and coaching skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; to include report writing
- Excellent customer and employee relations skills
- Possess the ability to get along with co-workers and work as a member of a larger team
- Ability to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement results oriented solutions
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Ability to develop and write clear/concise policies and procedures, reports, emails, and memos
- Must be able to work flexible schedules
- Strong knowledge of security and emergency operations
- Possess a solid employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability
- Ability to handle high pressure situations and make sound supervisory decisions
- Highly polished and professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently but also excel in a collaborative environment
- Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Products
- Familiar with building layouts and restricted access areas
- Must hold a current certification as an EMT in the state applying for
- 2-3 years of EMT experience (preferred)
- Emergency Response and or training experience
- No disciplinary or attendance issues within 1 year
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
- Security (ideally in a high tech environment), military, or law enforcement experience with some college preferred.
- American Red Cross CPR/AED & First Aid instructor
- Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist Level 1 Certificate
- 10 Hour OSHA General industry
- 2 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER
