We are seeking an experienced, highly strategic, and solution-oriented Business Unit General Counsel to join the Securitas Healthcare team. The Business Unit General Counsel will serve as a key member of the Securitas Legal team and will be responsible for overseeing Securitas Healthcare’s legal affairs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while providing strategic business and legal guidance to support the company's commercial objectives.
This position will report to the General Counsel, Risk, and Sustainability Officer for North America.
This is hybrid position, requiring at least 3 days per week on-site at one of our offices in Parsippany, NJ or Wilmington, DE.

Key Responsibilities
The Business Unit General Counsel is responsible for managing all Securitas Healthcare legal matters in connection with other internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic legal advice and guidance to the Securitas Healthcare leadership team on a wide range of commercial and legal matters
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, including GPO agreements, product sale and software licensing agreements, distributor contracts, business associate agreements, and supplier agreements
- Overseeing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets with the assistance of external counsel
- Providing legal advice and expertise to Securitas Healthcare’s R&D team to ensure new products and features comply with relevant regulations, laws, and internal policies
- Reviewing product marketing materials and collateral to ensure compliance with applicable law
- Serving as Securitas Healthcare’s HIPAA Privacy Officer and managing Securitas Healthcare’s HIPAA and data privacy compliance programs
- Advising Securitas Healthcare’s quality and regulatory professionals on regulatory compliance matters, including FDA matters and product recalls
- Managing and coordinating with other legal department subject matter experts and external counsel to manage and provide guidance on employment matters, litigation, risk management, compliance, and other matters
- Staying current with legal, regulatory and governmental developments impacting the company and industry
- Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized US Law School
- Admitted to and in good standing with the bar of at least one state
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional legal experience, with at least 3-5 years in-house experience preferred
- Significant experience representing medical device, life sciences, and/or pharmaceutical companies strongly preferred, including experience advising clients on the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, the Stark Law, HIPAA, and other laws applicable to medical device manufacturers
- Good analytical, research, drafting, negotiating, communication, and relational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous demands and significant workload
