Position Details: Exchange Assistant
The Exchange Assistant is a key position that supports the team by working with both internal and external customers to initiate, process, and close 1031 exchange transactions. Specific job responsibilities include:
- Review Real Estate Purchase Agreements
- Open exchanges and create relevant documents
- Send out appropriate correspondence and professionally field inquiry calls
- Monitor timelines to ensure smooth closings
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, mailings, etc.
- Oversee collection of outstanding documentation for closings
- Perform basic accounting duties, not limited to the following: open/close savings accounts, collect proper fees, follow up on outstanding checks and invoices
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Ability to pass a background check
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on occasion as needed
- 1-3 years of previous experience in title insurance, lending, or real estate is preferred
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Google Suite and/or Microsoft Suite
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Dependability, strong work ethic and punctuality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast paced environment
