Lead Fire Alarm Technician

We are currently seeking *Experienced Fire Alarm Technicians* to join our small and friendly team in Saint Augustine. The ideal candidate will have a background in Fire Alarm systems, low voltage wiring and installation, security alarms with some knowledge of CCTV, intercom.

Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair various Fire Alarm systems such as Notifier, Fire Lite, Silent Knight
• Respond to emergency service calls, troubleshoot and correct impairments
• Conduct service and inspections on various fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and are NFPA 72 Code Compliant
• Collaborate with clients to determine their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Work with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Keep accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on job sites.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

• Must have 2 years experience in Fire Alarm service and installation
• NICET Certified preferred
• Experienced in Notifier, Silent Knight, and Fire Lite
• Must have a high level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code as well as other applicable codes and standards.
• Must be knowledgeable in the use of a PC
• We are a completely Drug free work place. Must pass a full drug test.
• Must have good driving record.
• Must pass the Jessica Lundsford Florida Level 2 Background check.

The purpose of our Fire Alarm Technician position is to install, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair fire Alarm systems, and other fire and life safety products with minimal supervision. Candidate with Experience in NOTIFIER IS HIGHLY PREFERED. CCTV, intercom, security, and low voltage wiring and installation is also preferred but not required. Appropriate use of required tools and test equipment such as multi-meter, laptops, basic hand tools. Repair or replace fire alarm panels and sprinkler system components. Comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards. Programing and software knowledge with a variety of fire alarm systems that is used when removing or replacing components. Troubleshooting at a high standard level to determine faults in systems to include ground faults with fire alarm systems. Repair or replace damaged components. Communicate with internal and external customers as well as offsite monitoring companies in a professional manner. Required to be punctual to required work locations and complete scheduled projects in timely manner. Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required by company policies. Technicians will be placed in on-call rotation status as required by location to handle emergency service requests. Periodically attend seminars or similar education/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology, codes, and standards changes. Other duties may be assigned. Employee will occasional be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights. Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise. Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
