Internship - Internal Sales West

Security Benefit is searching for an Internship Internal Sales with proven experience to join our Sales team. This position will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas. SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.   Who Are We? Through a broad advisor network and its nationally recognized money managers, Security Benefit provides mutual funds, annuities, and retirement programs.   Job Description: Internships will give students the opportunity to gain hands on experience and be exposed to many aspects of the company's day to day activities in the financial services industry.  Interns will also learn how to interact with other professionals in a business environment. We are looking for students interested in: Accounting, Marketing, Sales, Finance.   Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily support to our partners by answering calls and emails in an accurate and timely manner. Build and maintain relationships with our distribution partners and ISC’s. Develop a broad understanding of all Security Benefit products, services, policies and procedures. Listen, probe, uncover and analyze needs and recognize potential sales/service opportunities. Take ownership and resolve problems by gathering, analyzing, pursuing appropriate course of action, and following up when necessary. Efficient utilization of internal and technical resources as well as desktop technology.   Eligibility: Students eligible for an internship must be current full-time students. Students working during the school year will work up to 19 hours per week.  SB will offer a flexible schedule to allow students to focus on coursework while gaining real work experience during their internship. Students eligible for the summer internship will also be full-time students and available to work up to 40 hours per week.    Qualifications: Full-time college students pursuing majors in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Actuarial, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other business-related degrees. Ideal candidates will be well organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft applications Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
