Security Benefit is searching for a Sales Support Specialist II with proven experience to join our Operations Team. The Sales Support Specialist will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas. SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.

What Does the Job Look Like?
The Sales Support Specialist is an important individual contributor to the Operations Team for Security Benefit. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing problems and escalations to determine accurate and prompt triage and resolution of any errors/issues that arise, relaying necessary information and status updates, addressing general inquiries, and providing general issues resolution. Additionally, the position may provide dedicated onboarding support by delivering personalized services for book rolls and blocks of business. The Specialist will plan, organize, and direct internal support for the handling of administrative issues and representative/customer problem resolution and inquiries. Responsibilities include:
Partners with Sales associates to ensure service and administrative problems are identified and expeditiously resolved and serve as administration and operations subject matter expert (SME)
Provide superior “concierge service” support and assistance as the liaison between sales associates/financial representatives and internal departments for identified representatives/relationships
Monitor and track contracts through the sales cycle for high valued and re-activated producers
Communicate Security Benefit contract workflow process with Sales associates and serve as SME for administrative and operational support
Research pending contract issues including reviewing contracts to ensure they are in good order, following up with LOA paperwork, checking processing for any potential contracts not in good order (NIGO)
Weekly reporting of Submitted, Received, and Pending contracts to high profile advisors
Delivers solutions to resolve emerging service gaps and advise constituents on trends and corresponding solutions
Partners with service and administrative associates to provide the highest level of support to sales professionals.
Identifies, develops, and executes continuous improvement opportunities
Who Are You?
An experienced Sales Support professional with two to four years’ experience in a Service or Administration environment with project management or client services preferred
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Ability to work independently with strong initiative and motivation with excellent follow through
Possess strong customer service and relationship building skills with the ability to interact positively and successfully with all levels of staff and management to meet business needs
Willing to develop a broad understanding of products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for effective performance
Have financial and investment management industry experience
A team player who enjoys collaboration and able to facilitate the resolution of issues
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle multiple priorities
