Growing Security Integrator located in the Montville, NJ area is seeking a reliable, self-motivated, ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER for a new position.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Analyze, update, and adjust monthly revenue recognition schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and vendor records.
- Effectively communicate with project managers, salespeople, and Owners; regarding quotes, contract documents, change orders, other contract modifications and approvals, related to billing.
- Maintain billing folders for all projects, with appropriate documents; including vendor and subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, etc.
- Interaction with customers, vendors, salespeople, project managers and technicians.
- Customer service and sales support.
- Maintain and update various spreadsheets, documents, and files.
- Perform various financial and administrative tasks and duties, including backing up other team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3 - 5 years general accounting experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (i.e., journal entries, debits, credits, etc.).
- Customer service oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details, is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Dependable, professional, and hardworking.
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work independently and part of a team.
- Proficient in Office 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems required (experience with Acumatica a plus, but not required).
- Interest in and ability to learn new platforms and software, as well as facilitate automation of various manual processes.
- A willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change a must.
