POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the credit analysis and presentation process for Commercial and Agricultural loan requests. Assess credit worthiness and appropriate risk level of loan requests and existing loan portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Review and index borrower financial statements for commercial and/or agricultural customers within loan portfolio analysis software.
  • Analyze borrower financial information to ascertain overall credit worthiness with the assistance of software data-input analysis system. Financial information includes personal financial and credit bureau information, business plans, financial projections, cash flow projections and pro-forma financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing loan request presentations for commercial and/or agriculture borrowers, which will include providing a written summary of the following: borrower’s financial performance (cash flow, leverage, etc.), risks within the borrower’s industry, analysis of the proposed collateral structures and values, and the strengths and weakness of each request.
  • Provide support through assistance with technical exception monitoring and the collection of proper supporting information.

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting related studies is preferred

Other Skills And Abilities

  • Courteous and professional interpersonal demeanor for interactions with coworkers
  • Proficient in software, Word, Excel, spreadsheet software and use of a financial calculator with strong math proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting with familiarity of financial statements, cash flows and tax returns
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics and economics.
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability and willingness to be a team player.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

  • Clarifies work requests as needed to set timelines and meets requested deadlines.
  • Performs tasks with accuracy.
  • Dependable per the agreed-upon work schedule.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. Unscheduled evening and weekend work may be needed to meet the needs of customers and employees.
  • Occasional travel between offices and out-of-town/overnight business travel may be required.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment. Some bending, turning, and twisting required.
