What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Processor position at Security First Federal Credit Union?
The Mortgage Loan Processor provides a variety of administrative assistance to the Mortgage department. This position requires the ability to ensure proper documentation is requested and received for the processing of residential mortgage loans. Must be accurate in the processing of various residential mortgage loans, have excellent communication skills when speaking to Credit Union members regarding mortgage requirements, products, and related services. Also, will be communicating and requesting services with title companies, surveyors, realtors, insurance companies, HOA, appraisers, and attorneys to ensure accuracy of real estate loan files and must have a basic understanding of escrow.
A high school education or GED is required. One (1) to three (3) years of similar or related experience, good communication skills (written and verbal), and proficient keyboard skills required. To adequately perform this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to the financial industry, particularly the mortgage industry. General knowledge of all Credit Union mortgage products and services offered, docusign, calculation templates and related policies and procedures preferred.
