What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at Security First Federal Credit Union?
Provide service to credit union members by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the
needs of members by referring them to appropriate departments in the credit union. To fill orders for
currency and coins; to count and record cash deposits in the credit union's vault. The position will
require a thorough understanding of credit union products and services to ensure complete member
satisfaction.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The incumbent must possess a high school diploma or GED as well as a minimum of six (6) months
similar or related experience. Six (6) months experience handling large amounts of cash is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and
manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 5 to 30 pounds. This position involves sitting
or standing for long periods of time and frequently viewing a computer monitor. This position requires
good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual
acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Personal computer with windows environment, copy machine, telephone, calculator and scanner.
