General Statement of Job:
The Fusion Security Specialist is responsible for creating a world-class experience while ensuring a safe and secure environment for the client and customers. As the primary point of contact for all safety and security issues, the Fusion Security Specialist leverages a thorough understanding of the rules, policies, and procedures applicable to those on the client site. The Fusion Security Specialist reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Handle shipping and receiving related materials and tasks such as preparing shipments, receiving shipments, storing and distributing materials, maintaining records, operating equipment such as a pallet jack or weight stations
  • Conduct shift briefings to provide updates and assignments
  • Assist with the development and revision of security processes, protocols, and systems
  • Ensure personnel are provided with necessary equipment and ensure equipment accountability by maintaining diligent records of equipment inventory
  • Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in criminal justice or business management or equivalent experience in military, law enforcement, or physical security
  • Proficient in iOS, macOS, PC operating systems on stationary and mobile devices
  • Must complete and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
  • Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when needed

Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, and follow verbal and written instruction.

Visual Acuity: Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, writing, and reading. Must be able to make general observations of facilities or structures. Required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle.

Language Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, methods and procedures related to the job function. Requires the ability to write job-related documents. Requires the ability to speak with and before others with poise, voice control, and confidence using correct English and well modulated voice.

Intelligence: Requires the ability to learn and understand relatively complex principles and techniques related to job duties; to make independent judgments in absence of supervision; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation.

Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; add, subtract, multiply and divide figures; determine percentages; determine time weight.

Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape, visually with job-related equipment.

Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in using job-related equipment.

Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items including computer equipment, control knobs, switches, other job-related equipment, etc. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have above average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.

Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color.

Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions related to job function. The worker needs to relate to people in situations involving more than giving or receiving instructions under stressful situations. Must be adaptable to performing under considerable stress when confronted with an emergency.

Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and/or hear: talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Requires the ability to hear: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

Technical Skills: Requires ability to utilize skills relating to computers and electronic devices and grasp related processes; ability to operate and activate computer as it relates to job related functions.

Position: Must be able maintain a stationary position up to 100% of the time; move or traverse about the property, indoors and outdoors, up to 100% of the time including ascending/descending stairs. Must be able to push, pull, and transport up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push or pull loaded cart or pallet jack.

Environmental Conditions: Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, including temperature changes (cold and heat), weather conditions, indoor and outdoor activities, and may be in close quarters for extended periods of time.
