As a Trust Professional, you will collaborate with a team of Trust Advisors and Administrators in the management of fiduciary accounts. Assisting in the daily management of the trust accounts in accordance with the Bank's fiduciary responsibilities as trustee and executor. You will perform diverse functions requiring confidentiality, initiative, thoughtfulness, and follow-through.
The primary responsibility of the Trust Assistant is to provide support behind the scenes assisting Advisors with account management in the area of trusts, estates, agencies, custodial or IRA’s, and pension accounts. We are searching for an individual who possesses strong values, a great work ethic, attention to detail, and confidence.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Support the Banks strong everything matters culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
- Open and close Personal Trust customer accounts. Ensure customer assets are registered and distributed accurately.
- Customer bill-paying and process requested disbursements.
- Account administration including correspondence along with fee and investment reviews.
- Move assets, update their status, and assist Investment Services in rebalancing accounts.
- Assist advisors in customer residence visits.
- Provide primary assistance regarding administration of probate/estates including inventory of estate assets, obtaining appraisals, and annual reviews.
- Backup to Advisors on phone calls and other administrative duties as assigned.
Required for this position: Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills. Excellent attention to detail, ability to identify missing items, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, the ability to visualize cause and affect relationships of data and documents, analytical skills, clear and concise reporting, self-motivation, strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated teamwork.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years professional office experience
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
- Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion
HOURS:
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
