Security State Bank-Gillette is looking for an Accounts Representative where the ideal candidate has a proven ability to provide excellent customer service and a desire to help fellow employees.
This is a full-time position where teamwork and customer service skills are essential. Candidates should enjoy a fast-paced environment and be excited about growing relationships within the bank through new and existing customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Candidates should possess excellent communications skills to promote bank products and services that meet our customer's needs. This position performs routine office and clerical duties while complying with bank regulations and policies pertaining to the operational functions of the bank.
Account Representative Responsibilities:
- Deposit account opening and related Fiserv software.
- Follow bank policies and procedures related to the new account process, to maintain compliance and to minimize loss.
- Process incoming and outgoing wires by following wire transfer procedures.
- Collect required documentation to establish accounts.
- Scan data into the bank’s systems.
- Issue ATM/Debit Cards and assist customers with disputes at local branch.
- Maintain new and existing account records that meet all bank & regulator policies.
- Possess a thorough understanding of FDIC coverage and how to use the FDIC calculator.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all bank deposit products, services, and fees to help educate customers in making the best decisions.
- Fully understand internet-banking services to help refer, sell, and assist customers with set up and trouble shooting.
- Complete account closure form on all accounts that are closed by customers.
- Assist with check back of daily file maintenance on accounts that were opened and/or changed by other employees.
- Place stop payments and deposit holds in compliance with Reg. CC.
- Promote Merchant Service Program and introduce to current and new business customers.
- Process letters to new and existing deposit customers.
- May perform operational duties such as opening a teller window to back up the teller line.
Customer Service Duties
- Greet customers over the phone and answer inquiries. Provide our customers with the “family feel” that Security State Bank is known for. Direct questions to appropriate bank personnel as needed.
- Research and resolve customer problems as applicable.
- Provide customer entrance to safe deposit box according to bank procedure.
- Generate new business within the branch by knowing bank products and personnel in order to identify cross-selling opportunities and direct customers to appropriate personnel.
- Increase business for the bank by developing and expanding customer relationships. Ensure all new customers are introduced to other areas of the bank as a means of potential future business.
- Assist customers with account balancing.
Competitive wage starting at $18.00-$22.00 per hour, DOE. Previous banking experience is preferred but not required.
