Security State Bank-Worland is hiring a teller to join our team. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to provide excellent customer service. This is a full-time position where teamwork and customer service skills are essential. 

Competitive wage $18.50 per hour, DOE. Teller experience preferred.

The Head Teller is responsible for supervising, training and providing guidance to the teller line.  Accountable for maintaining and balancing the cash vault.  Provide excellent customer service by meeting the needs of the customer in an efficient and friendly manner. Performs routine office and clerical duties while maintaining operational quality and standards. Comply with bank regulations and policies pertaining to operational functions of the bank. Act as the customer’s first point of contact with the bank. Responsible for ensuring a positive public perception of the bank by greeting customers and promoting bank products and services that meet our customer's needs while supporting bank goals.

Responsibilities

• Fully knowledgeable and able to execute all job duties and accountabilities on teller job description.
• Oversee and supervise the daily functions of the teller line.
• Conduct monthly teller meetings.
• Oversee scheduling for effective coverage on the teller line.
• Assures that tellers balance at end of day.
• Assists in locating cash offages.
• Perform monthly surprise cash counts on teller drawers along with the Branch Operations Manager.
• Train tellers in all aspects of the daily front line functions, to include all bank systems.
• Train tellers on all essential processes and procedures.
• Review Bank Secrecy Act tasks for accuracy and completeness along with the Branch Operations Manager.
• Review official check log daily to make sure it is current.
• Review daily transaction entries in monetary instrument log.
• Review questionable teller transactions. Officer approval/review may be necessary.
• Assist Branch Operations Manager in reviewing exception holds, per Regulation CC for completeness.
• Ensure Teller Balancing and Teller Drawer procedures are being followed.
• Complete teller balancing spreadsheet weekly.
• Balance and load ATM.
• Change bait money in teller drawers according to policy or as needed.
• Ensures bank policies and procedures are followed on teller line to avoid loss.
• Responsible for placing foreign currency orders with Basin Operations

Vault Duties:

• Responsible for vault being kept under dual control.
• Must be present for all openings and closings of vault. Document each entrance and record all cash in/out on vault log.
• Process buys/sells in Teller system.
• Maintain vault limits according to established branch limits.
• Ordering currency/coin in accordance with established vault limits.
• Process incoming and outgoing money shipments according to currency and coin shipment procedures.
• Must be present and assure that the vault is balanced daily with officer rotation at least weekly.  Cannot assist in balancing the vault.
• Must be present and assure quarterly surprise cash audit is performed on the vault and according to teller balancing procedures. Cannot assist in vault audit.
• Train and work with backup vault tellers in case of absence.
