Security State Bank-Gillette is looking for a Part-Time Teller where the ideal candidate has a proven ability to provide excellent customer service and a desire to help fellow employees.
Job Purpose: This is a full-time position where teamwork and customer service skills are essential. Candidates should enjoy a fast-paced environment and be excited about growing relationships within the bank through new and existing customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Perform routine office and clerical duties while maintaining operational quality and standards. Comply with bank regulations and policies pertaining to operational functions of the bank. Act as the customer’s first point of contact with the bank. Responsible for ensuring a positive public perception of the bank by greeting customers and promoting bank products and services that meet our customer's needs while supporting bank goals.

Teller Duties:
- Greet walk-in customers and process transactions accurately and efficiently for checking and savings accounts to include but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks.
- Process mail and night drop deposits under dual control according to bank procedures.
- Accept and process consumer and commercial loan payments, credit card payments, and cash advances.
- Sell Cashier’s Checks, money orders, travel money cards, and gift cards and complete logs.
- Redeem savings bonds.
- Place stop payments and deposit holds in compliance with Reg. CC.
- Complete CTR, SAR, and Monetary Instrument log according to bank procedure.
- Process incoming and outgoing wires by following wire transfer procedures.
- Protect the bank’s financial interest by controlling and balancing the assigned cash drawer. Maintain an acceptable balancing record per teller balancing standards set forth by the bank.
- Proficient use of Fiserv products involving teller transactions.
- Know how to balance a teller drawer according to the balancing standards set forth by the bank. Adhere to Teller Cash Drawer procedures.
- Know how to locate teller offages.
- Understand debits and credits.
- Operate coin machine and process coin.
- Locate customer signature cards and documents.
Customer Service Duties:

- Greet customers over the phone and answer inquiries. Direct questions to appropriate bank personnel as needed. Researches and resolves customer problems as applicable.
- Provide customer entrance to safe deposit box according to bank procedure.
- Be familiar with Precision and Director in order to provide customer research on accounts and documents.
- Be familiar with bank products and personnel in order to identify cross-selling opportunities and direct customers to appropriate personnel.
