Production Mechanic- 2nd Shift

Seda North America is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our 2nd Shift Operations team!  This position is fully on-site.  The successful candidate will have the ability to install, troubleshoot, repair equipment to ensure optimal machine efficiency and continual flow of production through the manufacturing process. Second shift hours are Monday Through Friday from 3pm-11pm.

Primary Responsibilities: The mechanic will have the responsibility for installing, maintaining, and repair of equipment utilized in the process for manufacturing paper cups, tubes and bowls, plastic lids, and other packaging materials.

Specific Duties:

• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.
• Breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment.
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment
• Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in similar mechanic role in manufacturing environment
• Knowledge in 5S, Mathematical Computations, Problem Solving Skills, Metric System and FANUC & Mitsubishi Controllers a plus          
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Good written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills, able to work well independently and be comfortable with using their professional judgment without supervision. 
• HS Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or other certification a plus 

Physical Demands (Required for Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted
• Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for 8-hour shift 
• Comfortable working in noisy and loud environments
• Wear all required PPE and follow safety practices as instructed
• Must be able to read and write in English
