Rate of Pay : $19-19.50/hour

We are looking for a hospitality-focused Lead Communications Specialist to join our team! This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Sedgebrook's front desk service areas in both the Independent Living

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Guest Services Specialist:
- Greet, welcome and direct residents, visitors, staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle questions/concerns efficiently.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, faxes, and all other correspondence. Direct to appropriate appropriate resident, staff member, or department.
- Assist the Business Office Manager with the training and coaching of team members to ensure all questions/concerns are handled in an appropriate, accurate and efficient manner. Also assist with scheduling the team members' shifts.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Coordinate office supply ordering and manager inventory.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining physical and/or electronic records and files.
- Monitor reception area traffic; directing, deliveries, packages, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Maintain accurate information, pertaining to residents being off campus, via the away book, away latch log and shift pass along.
- Monitor Fireworks Computer and all Fire Panels and dispatches Security to appropriate locations.
- Monitor pull cords, push pendants, vigil systems, and emergency calls and alert appropriate personnel.
- Call “911” as backup for nursing and/or security when needed.
- Contact on-call physicians, as needed.
- Attendance is essential to this job. Must maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Sedgebrook’s Attendance Policy. Must have flexibility with scheduling, with an understanding that there are no set schedules.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and provide mentorship to new or current team members.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, along with a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a senior living environment or medical facility a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to speak conversational English to communicate with residents, visitors, family members, supervisor and co-workers.
