What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Administrator - FINANCE position at Sedgwick County?
Department : FINANCE
Pay : $60,070.40 annually
Work Schedule : 8am to 5pm; Monday to Friday. Remote work and flexible schedule possible.
As part of the Grants Compliance Team, administer grant policies, procedures, and programs. Implement recommendations based upon best practices and performance reviews of prior Federal grant programs administered by the County. Perform administrative work pertaining to grant programs including grant contract review, grant management, and creating and updating Finance policy, including grants procurement and subrecipient monitoring.
Review and manage grant contracts for the organization
- Review grant contracts for compliance requirements and create a compliance checklist for each grant. Monitor each checklist monthly to ensure compliance it being met.
- Ensure County compliance with 2 CFR 200-Uniform administrative requirements, cost principles, and audit requirements for federal awards.
- Obtain proper grant training in compliance with best practices and auditor / supervisor recommendations to maintain subject matter expertise.
- Review existing policies on an annual basis to identify policy gaps with grant contracts.
- Work with Grants Compliance Team to provide policy or procedure information and to implement recommendations related to grant contract management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for implementation of policies and procedures.
- Work with Grants Compliance Team to develop and maintain a grants administration manual.
Review and manage Federal procurement procedures in collaboration with Purchasing Department
Provide day-to-day sub-recipient monitoring in collaboration with Grant Compliance Team Members.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance public administration or other related field. Three years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications : Five years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or Public Administration. Professional grant administration or procurement certification.
