In the lot attendant role, you will be responsible for all vehicles entering and exiting the lot.

You will be responsible for setting up rentals for the day, greeting customers and giving safety instructions, assisting customers on trails, keeping track of vehicle inventory, washing vehicles, keeping lot clean and organized. Must interact with customers regularly. Must have a valid drivers licence.

Working Conditions: The Lot Attendant will primarily work outdoors on the dealership lot. They may be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Lot Attendant Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Inspects vehicles for damage
  • Cleans vehicles and the lot
  • Arranges the vehicles in the lot
  • Key up vehicles in the morning and dekeying in the evening
  • Complies with company policies and their standard procedures
  • Park and organize vehicles on the rental lot
  • Assist in the movement of vehicles between the lot and service department/other locations
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly accounted for
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lot, including removing debris and trash
  • Assist in the preparation of vehicles for customer rides
  • Provide support to the sales and service departments as needed

Lot Attendant Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in driving both manual- and automatic-shift vehicles
  • High school diploma or equivalent

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform tasks from open to close for up to 10-12 hours. (Typically from 7 a.m.to 5-6 p.m. depending on demands of the business)
  • Ability to communicate with associates and customers on the phone and in person.
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation and tablet/computer transactions
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the customer service dept. including the front and back office, mechanics bay and parking lot
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to perform the job
  • Ability to reach overhead, squat, bend, stand long hours and move at fast paces throughout the day
  • Ability to move or lift equipment throughout the department generally weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work varied hours and days up to 10-12 hours per day.
  • Ability to use and be around a variety of cleaners in order to provide general cleaning of the lot
  • Ability to take each tour to familiarize yourself with the products on an ongoing basis

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
