The receptionist will also assist in maintaining campground records and ensure that the facilities are well-kept and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet guests upon arrival and provide them with campground information, rules, and amenities.
- Reservations: Process reservations via phone, email, or online platforms. Ensure that guest check-ins are smooth and accurate.
- Check-ins/Check-outs: Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Customer Support: Address guest questions or concerns regarding the campground, activities, or local attractions. Provide assistance to enhance their overall experience.
- Payments & Transactions: Process payments for campsite reservations, rental equipment, and other campground services. Maintain accurate cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate guest records and daily transaction logs. Ensure that check-in/check-out information is entered into the reservation system.
- Facility Coordination: Monitor campground facilities to ensure cleanliness and availability. Report any maintenance or safety issues to appropriate staff members.
- Communication: Coordinate with maintenance staff, management, and housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Safety and Regulations: Ensure compliance with campground rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Promotions & Sales: Promote on-site services, such as rentals, tours, and activities, and sell merchandise if applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience (preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry).
- Proficient in computer systems, including reservation software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. (e.g., paperwork, supplies).
