Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Bellingham, WA. 

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron works with agricultural, municipal, and industrial customers to process their “waste” into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods 

As our Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and driving automation advancements. At Sedron we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, as such we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:  

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to stabilize and improve automated systems while leading future automation projects
  • Design and implement engineering process controls to ensure safety, reliability, and drive efficiency
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of automation systems within a manufacturing setting
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including wiring diagrams, software configurations, and operational procedures
  • Lead projects related to robotic welding, ensuring timely completion and meeting specifications
  • Train production teams on automation systems and troubleshooting process issues
  • Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to meet performance and safety standards
  • Be responsible for ensuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
  • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks 
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years experience leading automation integration projects in industrial settings
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and automation integration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software 
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED 
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures 
  • Willingness/ability to wear respiratory protection or other safety equipment 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • Wage range for this role is between $100,000 – $140,000 annually  
  • Discretionary bonus 
  • The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.  

Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
