Job Description Summary:
Deliver visually appealing, color accurate, high-quality images that accurately reflect brand standards and established guidelines. This role requires exceptional technical skills, creative vision, and the ability work as part of a high-volume team including photographers, designers, art directors and creative directors. Ensure on-time delivery of final assets, maintenance of retouching standards and guidelines, along with management of our digital asset library.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85k-$95k; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-end photo retouching, including candy retouching, color correction, compositional cleanup, detail enhancement, digitally wrapping packaging artwork onto 3D shapes, changing backgrounds and more. Include product outlines and isolation layers as needed.
- Create seamless composite images by blending multiple elements and lighting plates, removing unwanted objects and adding/removing shadows to ensure realism.
- Maintain color accuracy and consistency across multiple images and campaigns. Ensure all images meet quality standards and are optimized for various formats.
- Work closely with photographers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure final images meet their requirements, accurately reflect brand standards, and align with campaign goals.
- Collaborate with the photo team, art directors, and project managers on-set during photoshoots to create comps for shot approvals, input retouching notes, and deliver daily contact sheets.
- Partner with project management to maintain clear understanding of final deliverables, project schedules, and expectations. Ensures timely delivery of retouched images, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Organize and maintain digital assets, ensuring proper naming conventions, meta data and file structures for optimal searchability and easy access.
- Develop and maintain retouching guidelines and standards for lighting, shadows, and tone, as well as for file setup.
- Implement photo retouching and image creation solutions that improve output quality, increase efficiency and speed, and/or enhance customer experience. Identify opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.
- Completes special projects as assigned by creative leadership. Supports and provides guidance to cross-functional partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience photo retouching with a retail brand, agency, post-production house or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in art, design, photography or related field, or equivalent retouching experience.
- Portfolio that showcases retouching skills and experience in a retail, agency, or post- production environment.
- Deep knowledge of photography, lighting, and composition to enhance images effectively.
- Strong understanding of technical and workflow considerations related to image file formats for print and digital output.
- Ability to utilize advanced technology to develop tools and techniques that enhance efficiencies, including but not limited to action scripts, batch rendering, etc.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; comfortable navigating tight deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive. Able to adapt quickly and manage change efficiently, and in a positive manner and able to respond to and act upon critical feedback.
- Ability to problem solve, support and collaborate with other team members effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and proficient using Adobe Creative Suite and Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with leveraging AI tools a plus.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
