Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center
- Strong organizational skills
- The ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Effective and efficient time management
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Implement Reggio Emilia philosophies and Project Approach
- Utilize curricular resources
- Maintain regular parent/guardian communication
- Follow all safety and health guidelines
- Support organizational mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies
- Communicate with your colleagues through collaboration and curricular planning.
- Employ developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques
- Engage in respectful communication with students, families, and colleagues
- Integrate technology to enhance learning within the classroom.
- Document educational experiences and display children's work in a manner that highlights student learning
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, appearance, and practice
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Physical and mental health that does not interfere with child care responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19-24 per hour, depending on education and experience.
