Customer Service Rep

SEEDWAY, LLC is headquartered in Hall, New York and currently employs 280 employees (including seasonal workers) nationwide. SEEDWAY is part of the GROWMARK system, an agricultural subsidiary serving more than 100,000 customers across North America, Canada, and Mexico. SEEDWAY, LLC is a full-line seed company providing high quality, high-performing farm seed products as well as lawn and turf products throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New England states, Florida, and South Carolina. We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

Performs a variety of clerical duties, as well as provides customer service to office visitors and telephone calls.

Performs order entry in Seedway’s JD Edwards’s system and processes data entry related to credit status, acknowledgements and product and price verification.

Must be willing to work in a positive, collaborative manner with team, and present a cheerful, pleasant, positive outlook (or interface) with customers.

Answers telephone, determines the nature of business and directs call to the correct department or destination.

Communicates with customers, salespersons, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.

Organizes and processes incoming work, enters orders from mail-ins, internet, faxed in and walk in customers.

Operates office machines such as photocopiers, printers, and personal computers.

Requires a high school diploma (some level of secondary education preferred), or the equivalent thereof, and 1 – 3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency and Microsoft Office programs.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
