We are looking for a detail oriented Fabrication Estimator to join our growing business. Metalcrafters of Wayne County is located at 584 Isaac Smith Road, Goldsboro, N.C. Metalcrafters is a professional miscellaneous metal fabrication company that focuses on heavy duty commercial steel fabrication and installation.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, providing accurate proposals for bidding custom commercial staircases, railings, wall rail, dumpster enclosures, gates, and other custom metal fabricated projects. Managing the projects they sell. Tracking performance and quality throughout the duration of the project. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, assessing material and labor needs, and collaborating with various departments to ensure competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Construction management degree AND / OR 2 years proven experience in estimating within the commercial metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and metal materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
