POSITION – Press Brake Operator I
JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - 2nd Shift (4:15pm-2:45am, Mon-Thurs)
STARTING PAY – $17.54/hr to $21/hour DOE plus shift differential
BENEFITS – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays
EDUCATION– High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 to 3 years experience in a metal fabrication setting preferred; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Press Brake Operator will set-up and operate metal bending machines (Press Brake) in accordance with quality/quantity standards.
Responsibilities
- Identify and report any defective materials or questionable conditions to management or the designer.
- Conduct quality inspections according to the quality documentation and control plan.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized, following prescribed safety procedures.
- Document the results of quality inspections in accordance with the control plan.
- Recognize and differentiate various materials, including Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized materials.
- Adhere to site efficiency standards.
- Continuously learn and implement improvements for site safety and quality procedures.
- Comply with the site attendance policy.
- Provide assistance in other areas of work as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, blueprints, memos, and basic instructions.
- Proficiency in basic business math functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and perform bending, standing, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling regularly during shift.
