Position: Cabinet Maker
Location: Newport, MN
Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Wage: $24-$29 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for quality. This position involves various tasks related to cabinet building, quality assurance, collaboration, and development.
Cabinet Building:
- Assist in selecting and preparing materials such as wood, plywood, and veneers according to project specifications.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using saws, routers, and other woodworking tools.
- Follow detailed drawings and blueprints to assemble cabinet components.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble cabinet parts, including joining, gluing, and nailing pieces together.
- Sand, stain, and paint cabinets as required, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect finished cabinets for defects and ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
- Make adjustments as necessary to ensure precision and quality.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Collaboration and Development:
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Communicate effectively to address any issues or discrepancies encountered during the production process.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in cabinet making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with woodworking tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
