Position – CNC Machinist Programmer
Job Location – Chippewa Falls, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm M-F)
Starting Pay – $25/hr or more - Depends on Experience
Required Education – Technical College Machine Tool Diploma required
Required Experience – Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist, must be able to program and set up machines and operate Wire EDM machines
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts that meet exacting specifications. This role is vital to meeting production goals and maintaining top-tier quality standards. Ideal candidates are detail-driven, mechanically skilled, and motivated to deliver consistent results. You will go from part - to print - to program - to set up - to production run!
Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes to produce high-precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine machining operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Operate Wire EDM machines
- Use, edit, and understand MasterCAM
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Technical College Machine Tool Diploma required.
- Familiarity with a variety of metals and machining processes, including tool offsets and speeds/feeds.
- Must be capable of holding close tolerances with precision and consistency.
- Must have own tools and toolbox
