About the Role:
Join a fast-paced, essential team responsible for packaging fresh fruits and vegetables in a refrigerated environment. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and quality.
Available Shifts & Pay:
1st Shift — $17.30/hour
- ⏰ Hours: Start at 7:00 AM until production is complete (end time varies)
- 📅 Schedule: Monday–Saturday (Sunday off 1 additional day off, typically Tuesday or Wednesday)
- ⌛ Approx. 50 hours/week
2nd Shift — $18.30/hour
- ⏰ Hours: 5:00 PM until completion (Sunday shift starts at 4:00 PM)
- 📅 Schedule: Sunday Monday–Friday (Saturday off 1 additional weekday off)
Key Skills You’ll Use:
- Teamwork & Communication: Work closely with supervisors and teammates to keep things running smoothly.
- Attention to Detail: Accurately read labels, scan products, and ensure correct inventory rotation (FIFO).
- Physical Endurance: Walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs in a cold, wet environment.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace, including coolers and processing areas.
- Adaptability: Manage a variety of tasks while meeting quality and safety standards under pressure.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate on production lines to package produce quickly and safely
- Restock and rotate inventory using scanning equipment and daily logs
- Ensure fresh products are readily available and correctly stored
- Follow food safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Use pallet jacks and RF scanners to move and track items (training provided if needed)
- Support general production tasks as assigned by leadership
What You Bring:
- Experience in warehouse, production, or physical labor (1–2 years preferred)
- Comfort working in cold environments (0–40°F)
- Ability to use or learn handheld RF scanners
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and urgency
- Basic reading and math skills for inventory tracking
- Power pallet jack experience is a plus, but not required
Work Environment Notes:
- Physically demanding work—must be able to lift, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Must be reliable and punctual due to team-based responsibilities
