Job Title: Help Desk Representative
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Pay: $22-$24 p/h

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Help Desk Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. The Help Desk Representative will ensure that users have the support they need to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support and assistance to users via phone, email, or chat.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system problems, application errors, and network connectivity issues.
- Create, update, and manage help desk tickets in the ticketing system to track and prioritize requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, applications, printers, and other office equipment.
- Provide guidance and instructions to end-users on software and system usage.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior support or relevant departments.
- Maintain and update documentation related to IT systems, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Perform routine system checks and updates to ensure all systems are operational and secure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to identify areas for improvement in technical support processes and procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication and customer service with users at all levels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a technical support or help desk role.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and commonly used software applications.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, internet connectivity, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for helping others.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Freshdesk) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , ITIL Foundation) are a bonus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (e.g., equipment setup).
