Job Location – Eau Claire, WI

Employment Term – Direct Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – Days (6:30am – 4pm, Mon-Fri, occasional Saturday based on needs)
Starting Pay – $22/Hour

As the Lead Scrap Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily scrap yard activities, manage a team of 8-12 employees, and ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in operating heavy machinery, coordinating schedules, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining productivity and supporting plant operations during planned and unplanned activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support a team of 8-12 employees in non-ferrous scrap operations.
- Ensure team compliance with safety standards while leading by example.
- Operate mobile equipment like cranes, forklifts, and wheel loaders when needed.
- Manage employee rotation during breaks, absences, and unplanned downtime.
- Handle data collection, weigh-out accuracy, and equipment accountability.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Experience operating heavy machinery.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- A collaborative leader who thrives in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
