Do you have forklift and hand held scanner experience? Is quality important to you? How about a 4-day work week? We are currently hiring a Material Handlers in Eau Claire on 2nd shift. As a Material Handler, you will be working for a company that manufactures and distributes premium building materials from coast to coast.
POSITION – Material Handler
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3pm – done) *Typically 10 hour shifts, may be OT **When busy, 5pm-done, but not past 6am)
STARTING PAY – $20.95 per hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous manufacturing experience needed, must have RF Scanner experience and forklift experience
The Material Handler is responsible is to be aware of all distribution goals and anticipate problems that could impact long term goals, including quality control and establishing high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
- Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship
- Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
- Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety for self and others into daily activities
- Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, hand-helds, racks, etc.
- Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, bend, twist, and climb during the course of a shift
