Position – Welder
Job Location – Oconomowoc, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire, Direct Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd Shift (2:00am – 10:00pm)
Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $24-$25/hr $3 Shift Premium

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience – At least 1 years of experience, Certification preferred.
The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabrication of metal products, utilizing a combination of Punch Press, Robotic Weld machines, Vertical Milling Centers (VMC) and Lasers. Looks at work instructions/job routing to ensure a quality finished product and look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
Responsibilities

Read blueprints/drawings and job routings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Set up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and/or fixtures.

Weld components/parts by operating MIG/Robotic welders and Spot/resistance welders in accordance with set up sheet/drawing specifications

Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances according to engineering requirements

Adheres to all safety standards and regulations which includes keeping a clean work area and wearing personal protective equipment.

Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.

May operate press and run parts either from progressive dies or hand transfer to produce quality parts.

May perform regular maintenance and minor repair on welding equipment to ensure proper working order.
Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred.
- Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale.
- Attention to detail is required.
- Problem solving skills.
