POSITION – Tool & Die Room Support
JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temporary, Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7am-330pm)
STARTING PAY – $17.00/hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous manufacturing experience required 1-2 years, forklift experience needed, computer use required, valid DL required.
As a Die Room/Die Tooling Support person, you will manage the delivery and return of printing plates, die cutting boards, and related items to machine centers, ensuring customer specifications and quality standards are met. You will also provide essential support services, including cleaning, repairing, and mounting these tools, and promptly address any issues or discrepancies."
Essential Responsibilities
- Repair, rebuild, and re-rubber cutting dies and stripping fixtures.
- Clean, inspect, repair, and mount print plates.
- Deliver and pick up printing plates, cutting die boards, stripping fixtures, mylars, and samples.
- Recognize and address problems with job tickets and spec cards.
- Operate ink blending system and distinguish colors.
- Respond promptly to supervisors and machine operators for supplies and support.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Receive cutting die and print plate tooling following check-in process.
- Monitor emails and navigate computer systems.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Drive and back up the Die Transport Truck & operate the Tommy Lift.
- Obtain forklift certification, cutting die picker, and mule operation training.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide backup and assistance to Print/Ink Specialist and other Die Tooling Specialists.
- Promote teamwork.
- Perform color matching and adjust inks for proper printing.
- Use spectrophotometer and other software.
- Notify supervisor of any issues affecting task completion.
- Perform cleanup and preventative maintenance, reporting mechanical problems.
- Follow all plant safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications
1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred. Preference given to those from Printing or Die Cutting background.
Use of hand tools, computer and computer programs, tape measure, and utility knife is desired.
High school diploma or equivalence.
Understand verbal and written instructions.
Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages).
Be able to distinguish colors.
Excellent work history and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines.
