TIG Welder/Fabricator – Full-Time (1st Shift)
📍 Location: Newport, MN
💰 TIG 1: $24.00 /hour (DOQ)
🕖 Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are currently seeking a TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team at our Newport, MN location, where we create customized stainless-steel products for the commercial industry.
Job Responsibilities:
As a TIG Welder/Fabricator, your role will involve:
- Fabricating custom commercial products, including cabinets, counters, guards, breath guards, and more.
- Working with stainless steel sheet metal to create high-quality, functional products.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and plan work sequences.
- Applying your knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, Wire Feed, and Spot welding.
- Independently completing complex sheet metal assemblies with precision and accuracy.
- Understanding and applying flat metal layout principles, including growth and bend allowance.
- Familiarity with press brake forming techniques and brake sequences (preferred but not required).
- Solving problems independently, as there are no "how-to guides" – you will need to think on your feet and use your experience and expertise to tackle challenges.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- TIG welding experience and knowledge of other welding techniques (MIG, Wire Feed, Spot welding).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication processes and the ability to work with various materials for the commercial kitchen industry.
- Previous welding test/interview required prior to start.
