Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced in office Estimator / Public Adjuster who is extremely proficient in Xactimate and high end residential roofing supplements and claims to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the insurance roof replacement claims process with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Estimator / Public Adjuster will work closely with insurance adjusters, project managers and department heads to negotiate contracts and manage costs effectively. An ability to build relationships within the insurance community will also be crucial to ensure strong growth opportunities. Previous adjusting experience from the insurance side is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Utilize software tools such as Xactimate and company CRM platforms for estimating processes.
- Regularly follow up with insurance carriers to push estimates through.
- Keep up with our in house CRM system daily.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Experience with cost control measures in construction projects.
- Familiarity with estimating software, particularly Xactimate.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract terms and compliance protocols with our contracted insurance providers
- Ability to ready and understand insurance scopes thoroughly.
- Ability to create residential roofing supplements on high end homes that deal with copper, metal, and designer roofing products.
- Ability to overcome objections with insurance carriers and how to naviagte the insurance process appropriately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in Xactimate software
- Previous adjusting experience for an insurance carrier
- Hold a PA license in AL and TN preferred
