JOB SUMMARY
The Project Specialist will support the SEEL Strategy & Innovation team, which is responsible for business development, program design, RFP response and proposal submission, corporate strategy, marketing, grant-writing, and other areas related to business growth and innovation.
The Project Specialist will play a foundational role to the team. This includes tracking opportunities in excel and CRM software, scheduling meetings with internal and external partners, drafting programs and proposals, documenting and streamlining processes, managing RFP submission portals, managing SharePoint sites and file archiving, and other tasks as identified.

This position has the flexibility to report to the SEEL office in Detroit (1400 Howard), be hybrid, or be remote.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), ID / IQ Task Orders, and Requests for Information (RFIs) and summarize
Manages all RFP portal submissions and portal communications, including filling out and uploading required documentation and client correspondence, with support and guidance from company leadership
Manages registration for new client portals
Participates in team check-ins, take notes, update trackers, and track progress of action items
Proofreads and edits proposal text and other authors for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension and style. Also proofreads and edits existing project summaries and resumes of project personnel, and other supporting materials
Execute proposal communications with external clients and partners, as well as coordinate any follow-up or action items
Responsible for thoroughly understanding the full array of SEEL products and services in order to fully and effectively represent SEEL
Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to continuously improve programs and internal processes
Coordinate meetings with potential partners to help expand SEEL into new areas of business or grow existing areas of programming, execute the signing of NDAs and Teaming Agreements in collaboration with Compliance team
Ensure learnings from successes as well as challenges are well-documented and communicated across implementation teams
Monitor project deliverables and assist with follow-up, cross functional collaboration, and other needs to ensure timely completion
Ensures proper archiving of proposal documents in SharePoint
Attend all internal meetings for proposal development (Go No Gos, Design Meetings, Budget Meetings, etc.) and take notes and action items to disseminate to the broader team
Attend webinars and other learning opportunities to help connect staff with educational information and professional development
Research new technologies, grants, RFPs, and other topics areas to increase staff awareness and knowledge
Other administrative and project support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Self-starter with ability to independently manage and execute projects

Strong eye and attention for detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, or interest in diversity, equity, or inclusion
Customer service skills to provide a positive working experience for internal and external stakeholders
Excel and / or CRM experience highly preferred
Polished communication skills preferred written and oral
Knowledge of energy efficiency preferred, but not essential if the candidate has a willingness and excitement to learn
Experience with working with Customer Relationship Management Software preferred
Ability to prioritize activities and meet established goals and deadlines.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle a variety of activities concurrently
