Role Overview:
The Senior Communications Executive is a vital role within the agency and is instrumental in effectively executing communication plans on behalf of their designated clients, ensuring a proactive, leading approach. With 3-5 years’ experience, they are well organized and drive efficiencies across their teams, demonstrating clear updates and knowledge for clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Service:
- Strong support to account lead, with timely management of account actions and account admin to deliver BIC client service
- Establish client relationships as a trusted and efficient ‘go-to’ for owned account actions
- Display good understanding of the clients’ business, remit and challenges – circulate articles of interest/competitor analysis to clients and the wider team on a regular basis, showcasing a clear point of relevance for each brand
- Lead elements of client calls and own preparation of agendas and minutes to meet deadlines
- Ensuring weekly/monthly reporting is delivered with keen attention to detail and by designated deadlines to senior team members
- Deliver timely coverage updates and coverage emails, with a clear explanation of the coverage driver and quality
Skill Set:
- Great written and verbal presentation skills, owning press office proposals and delivering client updates/proposals as part of client calls and meetings
- Regularly manage projects from inception to delivery to create PR assets and events - play a key role in presenting proposal to the client to secure budget & activity approval
- Assist in the development of strategic client proposals, providing superior writing and editing skills, research and local market insights to support the CM and SCS wherever possible
- Excellent media and influencer relationships, to the benefit of day-to-day client pitching and in role specialism
- Creative thinking across press office plans, activities and tactical storytelling
- Active role within earned and paid for influencer strategies with senior account team, including contract negotiations and SOW
- Share articles of interest with the wider team to continue beauty knowledge and relevance
- Management of press and influencer mailers and seeding program to a high standard
- Responsibility to create and maintain external vendor/supplier lists, ensuring they are inclusive, relevant and cost effective
- Oversight of agency media contact list to ensure it’s updated on daily basis
- Create and manage internal press office budgets and trackers
- Become proficient at managing project job bags on Paprika and complete budget reconciliation on a regular basis
- Management of team Communications Coordinator and interns, managing workloads and priorities each week
- Leadership of intern program, including recruitment and oversight of projects / R&R’s during term with agency
- Contribution to SEEN’s social team to ensure they are kept up to date on client news and content opportunities
