About Your Role:
You will support work in firmware development by collaborating with quantum test engineers, contributing to control software libraries, and augmenting hardware capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of control firmware.
- Integrating within internal software stacks and with external partners.
- Developing systems and drivers for conventional and digital control of superconducting qubits.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in software development best practices, including code design, unit testing, version control, and software life cycle management.
- Experience in Python development.
- Familiarity with writing and testing instrument drivers for RF or digital lab equipment.
- Previous experience in team-based software development environments, task management software such as Wrike/MSProject/Jira.
- Cross-platform integration experience (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
Preferred Additional Experience:
Hands-on experience with RF equipment (RF sources, RF ADCs and DACs, Network/Spectrum Analyzers) or electronics lab-based instruments.
Experience with FPGA programming (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, Migen).
Exposure to operating systems and C development.
Previous experience in quantum information, qubit characterizations, or microwave engineering.
Exposure to cloud-based APIs and cloud architecture.
Exposure to full-stack products, from UI/UX to database, network connectivity, security, and core server-side software components.
