About the Role:

Seerist is looking for an Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance and

Accounting team in either Reston, VA or Houston, TX. This role will report directly to the

Global Controller and be responsible for operational accounting management. This person will

lead the monthly financial closes and be responsible for the account reconciliations and

monthly reporting requirements. Seerist is a multi-currency global business, and this person

must be familiar with IFRS and have a strong understanding of US GAAP. This is a Hybrid

role with a 5% travel requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly close-to-report process, including consolidation of foreign entities
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial reporting
• Oversee, review and perform account analyses, complete financial analysis, and
  
  
  

prepare external and internal financial reporting

• Provide management with executive level monthly financial reporting, analysis,
  
  
  

summaries and explanations related to drivers of account fluctuations and variances

• Ensure maintenance of and compliance with internal controls and provide assistance
  
  
  

during external and internal audits

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve value-added policies and procedures
• Research and document various technical accounting issues, including implementation
  
  
  

of new accounting standards

• Manage positive business relationships with other functional areas within the company
  
  
  

and outside parties

• Oversee and/or prepare reporting on cash activity and cash forecasting
• Ad-hoc financial reporting and special projects as requested by the Corporate Global
  
  
  

Controller

• Manage, train, mentor, coach and oversee skilled, professional team members in areas
  
  
  

of financial reporting and general ledger accounting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• CPA is preferred
• 6 years of accounting experience
• Software/SAAS company experience preferred
• NetSuite software ex perience a plus
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills preferred, coaching or mentoring experience

• Detailed-oriented and excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Highly driven and self-motivated to work as required
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
