Description
The SEES Group is looking for a Triage RX Technician to join our team in Chattanooga, TN! The Rx Technician is responsible for handling all patient calls regarding prescriptions and prescription refill requests. The Rx Technician also coordinates e-prescribing for all offices, and administers the Patient Assistance Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:
- Handle Rx calls
- Oversee and prescribe Rx’s for all offices
- Manage refill requests from phone calls, faxes, tasks, and ERx refill program
- Create and update ERx “favorites” database in Greenway
- Keep monthly ERx tracking report
- Chart prescriptions, substitutions, refills
- Print out controlled substance Rx’s for doctor signature
- Manage and track substitutions based on insurance plans/cost
- Manage Prior Authorization requests for meds
- Administer Patient Assistance Program for no-cost medications
- Provide back-up support/training for Knoxville office for all prescription-related questions
- Provide patient education by phone and in person for use of drops, side effects of medications, etc.
- Provide on-going training of all staff related to Rx issues and ERx protocol.
- Maintains knowledge of and follows policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, and all Federal and state rules and regulations related to the position.
